NON RETURN LIFTING CHECK VALVE

🔩 Cast Iron Non-Return Lift Check Valve – Flanged Ends

MATC Cast Iron Non-Return Lift Check Valve is designed to automatically prevent reverse flow in piping systems. The internal disc lifts from its seat when sufficient forward-flow pressure is present and automatically returns to the seat as flow reduces or reverses. 💧⚙️

Its robust cast iron construction and flanged-end design make it a practical solution for water supply, HVAC, pumping, irrigation, fire protection and general industrial utility systems.

📏 Available Sizes

Common size range:

  • ✔️ 1-1/2″ – DN40
  • ✔️ 2″ – DN50
  • ✔️ 2-1/2″ – DN65
  • ✔️ 3″ – DN80
  • ✔️ 4″ – DN100
  • ✔️ 5″ – DN125
  • ✔️ 6″ – DN150

Larger sizes and special configurations may be available depending on manufacturer and pressure rating.

⚙️ Key Characteristics

  • 🔄 Automatic non-return operation prevents unwanted reverse flow.
  • ⬆️ Forward-flow pressure lifts the disc from its seat, allowing fluid to pass.
  • ⬇️ When flow stops or reverses, the disc returns toward the seat and closes the valve.
  • 🦾 Heavy-duty cast iron body provides strength and economical performance.
  • 🔩 Flanged ends provide a secure connection to the pipeline.
  • 🚫 Requires no handwheel or external operator for normal check-valve operation.
  • 💧 Helps protect pumps and associated equipment from reverse-flow conditions.
  • 🛠️ Simple internal construction supports straightforward inspection and maintenance.
  • 🏭 Designed primarily for clean water and compatible non-corrosive fluid services.

💪 Advantages

  • 🚫 Automatically prevents backflow
  • ⚡ No manual operation or external actuator required
  • 🛡️ Helps protect pumps and upstream equipment
  • 🦾 Strong and economical cast iron construction
  • 🔩 Secure flanged pipeline connection
  • 💧 Reliable solution for water-service applications
  • 🔧 Relatively simple maintenance
  • 🏭 Suitable for a broad range of utility and industrial systems

⚠️ Disadvantages / Considerations

  • 📉 Lift check valves generally produce more pressure drop than some swing-check designs because the disc moves within the flow path.
  • 💧 Adequate forward differential pressure is required to lift the disc fully.
  • 🌊 Standard cast iron is generally not recommended for seawater or highly corrosive media without suitable material selection and protection.
  • 🔨 Incorrect sizing or operating conditions can contribute to chatter or water-hammer problems.
  • 📐 Correct installation orientation and flow-direction arrow must be followed.
  • 🧪 Fluid compatibility with the body, disc, seat and sealing materials must be verified.
